Welcome to African and Caribbean Arts and Heritage Union

Cllr. Mike Kasibo – the founder of African and Caribbean Arts and Heritage Union (ACAHU) is so proud to present to you ACAHU, an all-inclusive and transformational union that was formed to unify African and Caribbean communities and build community cohesion in Milton Keynes and the UK at large.

Despite of COVID-19, The ACAHU has started on a few essential and innovative projects in Milton Keynes: African and Caribbean Arts and Heritage Transformational Carnival, The Supplementary School, The Untold Story of African and Caribbean, Iron Sharpens Iron, African and Caribbean Youth and Adults Sports, Reconciliation Program, Knife and Gun Crime, and African and Caribbean Business Breakfast Club.

As heads of the Union we see our new projects as a challenge full of ambitions, requiring resilience, but also with exciting opportunities.

We are currently working on our African and Caribbean Arts and Heritage Transformational Carnival for the 10th July 2021. From there we will embark on the first stage of a long-term projects; African and Caribbean Arts and Heritage Centre and African and Caribbean Diaspora Development Fund. These are aimed at transforming Milton Keynes Culturally, Economically and Socially, focussing on identity, representation, social justice, and economic integration.

The carnival is to showcase our diverse cultures through food, clothing, storytelling, engage the mind through music and dance, Supplementary education to reduce school drop outs, underachieving, NEET, and knife and gun crimes, Iron sharpens Iron to support the psychological and social development of young people and promoting a sense of responsibility and self-worth, Reconciliation Project to bridge the gap between African and Caribbean brought about by slave trade, The Untold Story to share the African and Caribbean Untold Stories, Sorts to keep mind and body strong and fit.

We aim to sow the seeds from which future generations of African and Caribbean descent will flourish.

We are calling upon all MK communities more especially African and Caribbean communities to join us in this challenging but exiting journey full of great opportunities because WE ARE STRONGER TOGETHER.

We are always on the lookout for new sponsorships so that we can continue to grow and serve our community. A healthy and thriving community serves us all as citizens. Help us makes this iconic and first of its kind Carnival a success by donating today!
